Excire Foto 2027 Wins EISA Award for Best Photo Software
We’re thrilled to announce that Excire Foto 2027 has won the 2026-2027 EISA Award for Photo Software!
This is a huge honor for us, and it comes just a few months after Excire received the 2026 TIPA World Award for Best Photo Management Software. Two major international photography awards in the same year? We’re unbelievably proud!
If you’re not familiar with the EISA Awards, they’re among the most respected honors in the consumer technology industry. According to EISA, the awards “recognize consumer electronics products that combine advanced technology, useful features and strong performance in their class.”
And unlike awards decided by a single publication or reviewer, EISA winners are selected through a rigorous testing and voting process that involves specialist publications from around the world.
Why Do the EISA Awards Matter?

EISA stands for the Expert Imaging and Sound Association, an international organization made up of 51 specialist publications across 26 countries. Its members cover a range of consumer technology fields, including photography, audio, video, and smartphones.
The association is divided into five Expert Groups, with each group bringing together publications that specialize in a particular area. The Photography Expert Group, for instance, is composed of 15 specialist publications, including well-known titles such as Amateur Photographer in the UK, Smart Photography in India, FotoMagazin in Germany, and Focus in the Netherlands.
Each year, products are nominated by member publications, and a candidate must be tested by five or more publications within the relevant Expert Group before it can even be considered.
In other words, an EISA Award represents the collective judgment of multiple experienced reviewers. It’s a rigorous process, which makes the recognition especially meaningful.
Excire Foto 2027 Joins Some Impressive Company

For the 2026-2027 awards, EISA recognized 23 products in the Photography category, which spans cameras, lenses, software, smartphones, and analog photography products.
The Camera of the Year award went to the Sony Alpha 7 V, while Nikon’s NIKKOR Z 24-70mm f/2.8 S II was named Lens of the Year. The Sigma 35mm F1.4 DG II | Art took home the Wide Angle Lens award, and the OM System M.ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 50-200mm f/2.8 IS PRO was named the EISA Wildlife Lens 2026-2027.
Out of all 23 Photography winners, Excire Foto 2027 was the only software program to receive an EISA Award.
And the EISA win puts Excire alongside some of the biggest and most respected names in photography.
What Does This Mean for Excire?

This is Excire’s second major international photography award in just a few months, following our TIPA World Award earlier this year.
For us, that’s an exciting sign that we’re building a uniquely powerful product, and that word about Excire continues to spread. Seeing Excire’s photo-management tools recognized alongside leading cameras, lenses, and other photographic technology tells us that we’re on the right track!
Of course, it also makes us even more excited to keep doing what we’ve been trying to do all along: making photo and video management faster, easier, and more intuitive for photographers of all stripes.
We want Excire to help you spend less time searching through folders, manually adding keywords, wading through duplicate files, and reviewing endless batches of images. And we also want Excire to help you appreciate the photos that you’ve taken. In our view, your photo library should be something you can explore and enjoy. You should use it to find inspiration and to grow as a photographer.
That philosophy is at the heart of Excire Foto 2027. The latest version combines Excire’s specialized search and organization capabilities with new tools such as visible text-in-photos search (OCR), Map View, Smart Filters, the Timeline Graph, Survey View, and focus peaking.
(Note that all of Excire’s AI-powered tools run locally on the user’s computer, so you never have to worry about a loss of privacy or security!)
Thank You for Supporting Excire
Finally, we want to say thank you.
Excire wouldn’t be where it is today without the photographers who have supported us over the years.
Whether you’ve purchased an Excire lifetime license, downloaded a trial, recommended us to a friend, stopped to talk with us at a photography show, left a review, mentioned us on social media, written about us on your blog, or simply shared your feedback with our team, you’ve helped Excire grow.
That support has made an enormous difference, and we’re incredibly grateful!
