Compared to other software categories. The Office Edition analyzes images on-premise on the computers and servers of the organization using it and is therefore not a cloud service. It differs from a traditional digital asset management system in scope and focus: it requires no implementation project, manages only photos and videos and no other file types such as PDF documents, and is tailored to organizations that store their media assets on a network drive and share them within a small team. Billing per user license, on the other hand, is not a distinguishing feature, as DAM systems are licensed this way too.
The smaller scope results in a lower price level. The Office Edition costs 289 EUR/USD per year and user for the first two licenses and 99 EUR/USD per year from the third license onward. There are no setup costs.
Excire Foto Office Edition is based on the respective current version of Excire Foto. Currently this is Excire Foto 2027. Both products use the same search technology.

Excire Foto Office Edition behaves in the same way as Excire Foto 2027 with regard to videos and file formats.
Supported image formats: 3fr, arw, cr2, cr3, crw, dcr, dng, erf, heic, heif, iiq, kdc, mef, mos, mrw, nef, nrw, orf, pef, ppm, raf, raw, rw2, rwl, sr2, srf, srw, bmp, jpg, jpeg, jpe, jfif, png, pgm, tif, tiff, psd, webp and hif.
Some compressed variants of these formats are not supported. Displaying HEIC files requires Microsoft's HEIF Image Extensions and HEVC Video Extensions. For raw formats, the manufacturer recommends installing the Microsoft Raw Image Extension. Video formats with preview images and analysis: mp4, mov, 3gp, mpeg, m4v, avi, mkv, webm and wmv.

HDR videos with a color depth of more than 8 bits are mostly not supported. Installing external codec packs does not change this.

What is Excire Foto Office Edition?
Excire Foto Office Edition is software for managing, searching, and selecting photos and videos for businesses and teams. It adds shared network databases, a role system, and central license management to the search features of Excire Foto 2027.
How does the Office Edition differ from Excire Foto 2027?
Excire Foto 2027 is a single-user solution with a perpetual license. The Office Edition is designed for teams, is licensed on a subscription basis, and adds network databases; a two-level role system; sharing via FTP and SFTP; central user management; and a silent installer.
Can several people access the same database simultaneously?
No. Simultaneous access to a shared database is not possible. The software shows who is currently using the database. In parallel, each person can use their own local database.
How much does Excire Foto Office Edition cost?
With the annual subscription, the first and second licenses cost 289 EUR/USD per year each, and every further license from the third onward costs 99 EUR/USD per year. Five licenses therefore cost 875 EUR/USD per year. The monthly subscription costs 59.90 EUR/USD per month and user; there is no volume discount here. All prices are exclusive of VAT (as of August 2026).
How long does the subscription run and how can I cancel?
Excire Foto Office Edition is available as an annual and as a monthly subscription. The annual subscription has a minimum term of twelve months and renews automatically for one further year at a time; the monthly subscription has a minimum term of one month and renews for one further month at a time. It can be canceled at the end of a month, but at the earliest at the end of the minimum term. A running annual subscription therefore ends after twelve months at the earliest.
Are photos uploaded to a cloud for analysis?
No. The analysis takes place on-premise on the organization's computers and servers. The image data does not leave the organization's own network.
