Excire Foto 2027 automatically recognizes visible text in photos — from street signs to business names and labels.
This text can be searched in two ways.
1. Filtering in the gallery view
In the filter bar above the gallery, you can select the "Text in Photos" option from the dropdown menu and enter a search term. The gallery view will then immediately be narrowed down to the photos that contain the entered text.
2. Search via “Find by Text Entry”
Use the corresponding button in the top-right corner of the window or the menu to open the “Find by Text Entry” search box. Here, you can choose between two search options:
Image Content – searches based on an AI analysis of the image content (as before)
Text in Photos – searches for text actually visible in the photo using its own text recognition
The search results are displayed separately in both categories. A photo may appear in both categories at the same time.
Notes on text search
The text you enter must appear exactly as entered in the photo. Searches using placeholders or multiple words that do not appear consecutively are not possible. The language setting (DE/EN) has no effect when searching for text in photos.
In single-image view, the found text is highlighted in color within the photo.
