Supercharged Keywording Features
Excire Foto 2024 already boasts automatic tagging, a powerful Find by Keyword search tool, and sophisticated keywording options. But thanks to the April update, users can now:
- Apply OR and NOT operations for increased precision when searching with the Find by Keyword tool
- Select, copy, and paste subsets of keywords
- Use drag-and-drop functionality when assigning keywords to photos
- Take advantage of automatic copying of keywords to the clipboard when performing keyword copy-paste operations
An Enhanced Duplicate-Search Workflow
Excire’s Find Duplicates tool allows you to rapidly identify identical and near-identical photos, and it’s a great way to clean up messy folders or even to efficiently cull similar images from photoshoots.
The April update helps you further streamline your clean-up and culling. Now when you analyze your catalogs or folders for duplicates, you can:
- Access an all-new duplicate statistics dialog that allows for quick flagging of duplicate files
- Choose to exclude photo sequences from the Find Duplicates search
- Select the first photo of each duplicate-search-result cluster to save time when cleaning up folders
Upgraded Filtering and Metadata Options
Need to search your image catalog by metadata or image type? Then you’ll appreciate these enhancements:
- New high-level filters to sort and locate images more effectively (including an option to identify files that have not yet been analyzed by the program)
- Extension of the text-search feature to metadata so users can locate images from the file path, file description, file headline, etc.

The April update comes with plenty of additional improvements, including:
- The option to change the loading behavior for lens model metadata
- An “Invert selection” menu option
- Keyword tree multiselection
- A “Manage profiles” option in the “Renaming Profiles” dialog
- Minor bug fixes, design changes, and improvements
How Can You Access the Upgraded Version of Excire Foto 2024?
As I mentioned above, the April 2024 update is complimentary for existing Excire Foto 2024 users. Therefore, if you already own Excire Foto 2024, simply launch the program and follow the prompts to install the update software. Alternatively, you can download the latest Excire package on this page.
(One recommendation: Before you install the update, manually back up your Excire catalog using the File>Manual Backup option.)
